Eleventh edition of the journey through Jazz music in Treviso
Variety of styles, proposals and novelty is what makes the Treviso Suona Jazz Festival unique!
This eleventh edition tells Between Cultures and Generations: a festival always on the move that aims to emphasize how “improvised music” can also represent a dialogue between cultures and generations. Once again this year we will see great international artists and top Italian jazz artists on stage for a festival between concerts and training workshops.
A preview on Saturday, April 30, on the occasion of UNESCO International Jazz Day, will be given by Piano Solo by Shai Maestro, a leading voice in contemporary jazz. Highlights of the festival evenings will include the customary involvement of the Province of Treviso's Auditorium S. Artemio, the protagonist on two evenings, May 21 and May 23, when the Auditorium stage will be trodden by the quartet of saxophonist Seamus Blake, one of the world's best exponents of tenor sax. Next, on Saturday, May 24, at the Mario Del Monaco Theater, the evening concert will be dedicated to one of the world's leading exponents of piano jazz, where Uri Caine's new trio is expected.
The festival week will be enriched by other concerts and events, also with free admission, always under the banner of originality, multidisciplinarity and networking with different realities of the territory.
