Masterpieces from the Egyptian Museum in Florence.
Conegliano and Florence united in Egypt
From 23 October 2024 to 6 April 2025 Palazzo Sarcinelli hosts the new exhibition ‘Egypt. Journey to Immortality.’
More than one hundred works enrich the exhibition, thanks to the collaboration with the Egyptian Museum of Florence, divided into five sections. The leitmotif of the exhibition is the journey of the body and soul from earthly life to eternity, about which little is known in true Egyptian culture.
The collection consists of gold and blue fayence jewellery, finely engraved funerary stelae and reproductions of ancient deities, such as Anubis, Osiris, Isis and Horus: evidence that, for the Egyptians, life did not end with death, but continued in new forms.
The exhibition is open from Wednesday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
