The landscape plays a central role in his work
Leading 20th century poet Andrea Zanzotto was born and raised in the Prosecco Superiore Hills
The landscape plays a central role in his work: few people could fail to be inspired by the beauty of nature, especially here.
Andrea Zanzotto described the little village of Rolle near Cison di Valmarino as “a postcard sent by the gods”. It’s in the DOCG Conegliano-Valdobbiadene production zone and on the list of sites protected by FAI (the National Trust for Italy). In the square by the church, your eyes will be drawn to the picturesque rows of vines stretching across the hills like necklaces. Take a stroll along the local paths or go for a ride through the landscape on a bike or even a Vespa!
